First held in 2015 and 2016, the Copper Roundtable will be reconvened this year, once again providing grass roots stakeholders with the opportunity to connect, share information, and get updates from each other on the topic of non-lead ammunition and fishing tackle. The roundtable will be held at Craguns’ Resort near Brainerd, MN on Feb. 23, 12:30-5p (Central Time).
The specific goals for the 2023 Copper Roundtable are to:
Include ALL stakeholders in the discussion of the risks of spent lead ammunition to non-target wildlife and humans, and the benefits of copper ammunition for hunting;
Invite and engage new stakeholders and interested groups or individuals;
Provide updates since the last Copper Roundtable, including new knowledge on the scope of problem or new solutions, activities/initiatives addressing this topic, as well as on the availability and performance of alternative bullet materials like copper; and
Close with a discussion about opportunities to advance our shared goals into the future. We look forward to seeing you there!
